Senior Rayford James traveled to Birmingham, Alabama this Winter Break to warm up his racing legs on an indoor track. His eagerness to get started did not disappoint as he won both the 17-18 age bracket 800m and 1600m races. James started off with a clear victory in the 1600m finishing with a 5-second victory in a time of 4:37.08. James posted an 800m time of 2:01.89 cruising to a 3-second victory over the 2nd place finisher. Though after the meet James was not happy about his times, this was an early season race and was head-to-head against other top caliber runners in their senior year of high school or freshman year of college.
